
Who We Are
For over 68 years, Port Alberni Association for Community Living (PAACL) has been a source of support for people with intellectual disabilities and their families. We offer a wide range of services including person-centered planning, employment supports, housing support and community-based activities. We are proud to support over 400 children, youth, adults and families across the age continuum in multiple locations in the Alberni Valley and surrounding areas.

Board of Directors
The Board Directors provide governance to PAACL and contribute their knowledge, skills, and strength in the collective pursuit of our mission.
The Board members of PAACL are individuals with diverse experience and backgrounds that provide a meaningful contribution to our community as a member of our Board of Directors. Board Directors provide governance to the agency and utilize their collective knowledge, skills and personal characteristics to carry out their responsibilities in accordance with PAACL’s constitution, bylaws, governance policies and respective board member roles.
Board members are self-advocates, family members, friends and concerned citizens that have a special interest in supporting an organization that has provided support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families for over sixty-five years!
