The focus of the Semi-Independent Living Program is to support clients who live on their own or have a desire to live on their own. Areas of support include all aspects of life skills required to live independently. Services are provided in the client's own home and in the community. Community Support Workers assist clients with Banking, Budgeting, Grocery Shopping, Meal Planning and Prep, Laundry, Medical Appointments, Home Maintenance and liaising with other agencies and community services.
The Whole Living Group is a support group that meets bi-weekly to discuss various topics. They problem solve and support one another with different issues and questions. Out of Town group outings are also a favorite thing that the Whole Living Group has taken part in.
The We Cook Program is a popular program for people living on their own. Groups consist of 3-6 members and they meet once per week. We Cook teaches basic food prep skills with an emphasis on healthy eating and food safe practices. Everyone participates from shopping, recipe selection, meal prep, cooking and cleanup. Each group then goes home with 5 meals to be frozen and enjoyed throughout the week.
The Self-Help Skills Program offers support to individuals who would like to "transition" to living on their own. The supports assist individuals to obtain the highest degree of independence possible.
